Check this baby out! www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcrprEQwSpE"The car is dubbed "Dust Storm" and criterion hint that "Where we’re going, we don’t need roads". The video also shows a slight glimpse of the new area of Paradise City. By the look of the video, the map has been extended East with a bridge, next to Angus and 4th parking garage, connecting the new area to the existing map." Sweeeet!

*UPDATE* Over at the Criterion Games forum, Alex Ward has just posted a message saying: "In our rush to put the movies out we forgot to add some text.... This bridge leads to what we reveal today to be THE FIRST in a SERIES of Islands adding to Paradise City, EACH OFFERING A DIFFERENT TYPE OF GAMEPLAY..." As always we're left to speculate as to how many other islands there will be, when they will be available, how big they'll be, what type of gameplay each island will house... No doubt we'll find out eventually though! Check this out... www.criteriongames.com/article.php?artID=2Of course, no time frame, but still ... sweeeeeet! Sweeeet!!!!

If they are planning a series of islands, each focusing on a different driving style then what's next? The two obvious ones, street racing and dirt racing are now covered, what's gonna be next? I can't really think of any majorly different styles other than those 2 apart from extensions of what we'd already be doing i.e. drifting, destruction derby etc. Apart from closed circuit racing which would probably feel like a step backwards. What does everyone else think? I would be interested to see criterion do motorbikes, can't see it though, riderless bikes would be too wierd

LMAO mate, even when your car door hangs open it's pretty weird to see no driver in there, esp. since its a next-gen game.

Can you imagine what would be left of a person after a Burnout-style crash? What would the rating of the game be? The cars should be driven by robots, all the glory of ragdoll physics with no squishy bits
