Guys, let me introduce you to the ranking system we have here on our boards... I think that since we are a small forum (right now, we hope to grow:)), we should lessen the post counts for Veteran and Senior Members to around 1000 and 500. Moderators, of course, get a five star ranking no matter how many posts they make. Please comment on the system and tell me if any changes should be made. Cheers!

nice but i think the gap between 250 and 1000 is too large maybe add another rank? and maybe change the rank names to somdthing more burnout friendly.

Exactly! Please people, my creativity = 0, so come up with some cool Burnout related names to replace the boring names.

Those names are good and quite creative, but they don't really tell which is better! I mean, you can't tell whether a Drifter has a higher rank than a Barrel Roller, but you CAN tell that Newbie is lower than Full Member. We need something that embodies the Burnout spirit yet also improves with the ranking! Asad

How about basing it on the license progression Learner, D drift dude C crash king B burnout beast A asphalt ace Elite for staff I know the puns aren't great, I'm sure someone can do better than "drift dude" Also couldn't think of a specific Burnout term that began with A, had to go with the rather generic "asphalt" EDIT: just read these back to myself, made me wince! They sounded ok when I first thought of them

Yea, some nice ideas sprouting up there. But we can still make that better. Or, we could take a boring but very simple route, for example Newbie - Learner Junior - D License Full - C License Senior - B License Veteran - A License Ancient - Burnout License Staff - Elite License How 'bout it?

Makes sense, everyone is familiar with the progression. That's what I was trying to incorporate into my lame pun names.

Aww...they weren't lame. Only problem with our new system is, some people (or new members) might mistake them for the actual license we have in the game, take us for a bunch of n00bs, and think that we all suck at the game. Thoughts?

LMAO. I guess we need to think of an alternate solution. Or maybe we could trash the Burnout related stuff and just make the progression slightly different? The community decides. Yeah, I'm in need of that drawing board too.
