Yes, but then again, how do we differentiate between who is better? Even though it IS pretty clear that a Cavalry is worse than a Hawker....

<3 Thanks draguls, I did a quick survey and found that the names I came up with were the exact names the average 5 year old would come up with Forum challenge: A burnout term beginning with the letter A I bet there's loads and I'm just being a dumbass

No you're not. Heck, I can't think of one. Maybe - Aftertouch Astounder/Maestro

AFTERTOUCH! I knew there was one! Who kept trying to aftertouch on their first go on paradise? I did. I also miss Crash junctions, I like showtime but it is no substitute. Criterion should release a PSN standalone puzzle game based on the crash junction premise, that would rock.

Yeah, even I miss Aftertouch. I loved Crash, though it got somewhat repetitive if you were stuck on something.

Yeah, if you were going for gold you could do a level hundreds of times!

Yeah, they were great. I wonder if we'll ever see any more? The burnout series has been known to re-introduce elements that had previously been removed, maybe the next game will have crash junctions and aftertouch, I hope so!

Aftertouch was one of Burnouts unique selling points, added so much to the game. I hope they only removed them because of the difficulty of applying it in the paradise environment, in which case it is something they can work on. Mind you, in the free-roaming approach to races it is next to useless anyway!

Yeah. How do you like the free-roam angle? I didn't really like some previous Burnout games, but I absolutely love this one. It's the sense of freedom, and the sense of fast-paced progression, maybe! And I also love the challenges. IMO, it's the best Burnout till now and a great series opener for next-gen consoles. (read: PS3)

I love it. I only played burnouts from 3 onwards and I loved them. I was a bit skeptical over paradise at first when I heard how radically different it would be but the core elements of burnout are there; The ridiculous sense of speed, close races, cool cars, cool sfx, takedowns etc these are what made the game special, sure there are elements missing that we liked but the essence of the game is there! I think criterion should be applauded, they have never rested on their laurels and have always mixed things up with each game and with this being the first next-gen game they had to do something major to stay fresh. Next-gen doesn't just mean better graphics! The free roaming element works so well on a game where it is actually fun to drive! Add in challenges, smashes, jumps, stunt runs and the free roaming races and I cannot see how any burnout fan can be disappointed!
