coheed and cambria - No world for tomorrow (awesome rock band) Brand New - The devil and god are raging inside me (great band, don't make assumptions based on the album title)
I like rock, but not exclusively.

Cool, since you recommended it I also listen to C&C sometimes. But nothing beats a good Slash solo

Yeah, I love "proper" rock. I hate overly emo stuff or stuff with no tune like nu-metal. You can't beat a good guitar solo! What's your favourite solos ever, some of mine are; pink floyd - comfortably numb (live on PULSE is the best version) Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird (the full album version not the castrated radio one) Eagles - Hotel California (awesome co-op solo [paradox ]) Ted Nugent - Stranglehold (cool jamming style)

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird (obviously, as you said, album version) Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns N' Roses November Rain - Guns N' Roses Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (I have the live on PULSE video ) Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower Eruption (Eddie van Halen) is also pretty good, as is Stairway to Heaven (you know who that's by)

eruption is technically superb but thats it, it's just complicated noise. If you don't know what I mean listen to Rush, they are all virtuosos on their instruments but the end product is stale, there is no hook, no soul, I can't deny their technical prowess but their music never gets me going. That's what eruption is like to me, a technical demo. Totally agree with all the others though PULSE on dvd in 5.1 is something to behold.
By the way, I've never seen Floyd live but I've seen The Australian Pink Floyd and I cannot recommend them enough, I am a true Pink Floyd Superfan and I thought they were truly excellent, they are spot on! They tour the world, if they come near you you've gotta see them!

Stairway to Heaven (you know who that's by) of course I do, it's by Rolf Harris, we weren't talking about wobbleboard solos though were we asad? Focus mate, focus

Sorry, it's just not many people have heard of them so I am always keen to know what people think, I have to say that they are probably my second favourite ever band (after Floyd)

I've heard of coheed but i cant for the life of me remember what the name of the song was that i liked. The running free? No world for tomorrow? the crowing? welcome home? the suffering? I think they are the most likely to have been heard by chance. Glad you like them. Who do you listen to?

Sorry floydant - and I also hate that 'noise' thing, that's why I think the worst band in the world is Slipknot, I hate that kind of stuff! I'm back to solos now. I like The Running Free and the Suffering, by the way. I think.

I like the 80's rock and 70's rock. Iron Maiden, Led Zepplin, Motle Crue, gotta live Jimi, and some new rock like, Chevelle, Disturbed, Three Days Grace, etc.
It's all good with me
