I've been updating my PSP on a regular basis now, never been disappointed as the updates come on a regular basis and always add some cool features!
Not too glad about the PS3 updates though, been living with 2.10 for such a long, long time now and I want to see what new features they will add this time! If anyone has ANY idea about this, please post here in a message or provide a link.
Thanks!

Certainly in-game XMB, or at least a friends menu to message without quitting. Custom soundtracks would be nice, but I don't really mind listening to in-game soundtracks. Usually I've got something on my PC too. I'd also like to see a resume option when downloading DLC, my connection is crap! The others probably don't mind though.

There is already a pause and resume function when using the downloader? I also like the updates for the PSP but I use custom firmware (Ahhh run ISOs from the mem-stick )

Sadly I upgraded too fast and as soon as the update came out so there is no way for me to install custom firmware other than using Pandora's Battery, which I can't get. Other than that, where is the pause and resume function? I didn't think there was one.

When you download something on the PS3, go to the downloading tab and press triangle on the file.

That only works in the internet browser, not when downloading game updates etc I believe.

I heard form a friend that downloadable islands are coming for the game!! Who cares what they cost. I'll by them up in a flash. Has anyone heard about the Playstation Home that supposed to be coming. It sure would be sweet to make my own place on the dashboard and invite "sim" like friends over to check out the pad.

PS3 2.2 Firmware Downloaded
Available since Monday. Seems to be more of the same, but it does appear to have a bunch of features.
The update appears to make a few minor changes including:
- The way Bluetooth devices are registered has changed. - More devices can also be added. A BD Internet Connection setting has been added under BD/DVD Settings. - An Audio Output Device setting has been added under Remote Play Settings.
Media changes - DivX and WMV files that are 2 GB or larger are supported. - Subtitles on DivX files can now be displayed. - DVD/Blu-Rays can be resumed from the point where they were stopped. - An image can be displayed while editing a playlist. - Music can be played while editing a playlist. - A Mosquito Noise Reduction option has been added under AV Settings in the control panel for standard DVDs. - Blu-ray BD-Live Profile 2.0 is now supported. - Users are now able to use several interactive features such as downloadable video content, ring tones and interactive movie-based games, with Profile 2.0-compatible Blu-ray Discs. The interactive features may vary depending on the disc. - You can now change some PS3 system settings during remote play. - Save Target has been added as an option under File in the browse mode menu of the Internet browser. This option lets you save a file that is linked from a Web page, such as an image or video file, or other type of file, to your PS3 system’s hard disk drive or storage media. - Using the Internet browser, you can now play a linked video file as it is being downloaded.
This sounds better than the previous update, still nothing major though. Still waiting for in-game xmb, custom soundtracks and Home.
